I have read the book and have seen both movies(Swedish and American). I’ve read many reviews about both movies. Unfortunately in this review I have to say the over used cliche’ that “the book is better than the movie”. The book isn’t the easiest read in the world. You’ll ready for 50 or so pages and not a have a clue of what is going on. The story takes time to develop but once it begins you won’t want to stop reading this book. The diction used is obviously from a Swedish point of view so for people not accustom to their culture you will have to think things through which is a must for every book no matter the author’s choice of diction.
The book will leave you breathless. The more you read the more exciting the book becomes. A crime/mystery book that will leave you wanting more. I’m currently reading The Girl Who Played with Fire. The second book of the trilogy. The first book kept my interest but the second has forced me to pull all nighters to read the book. Literally a must read trilogy.
